About
Last Run was created to capture the thrill of one more ride, that moment at the top of the mountain when adrenaline meets decision. Built around the same mix of risk, reward, and laughter that defines a perfect day on the slopes, the game brings that energy to any table. Whether at home, in a lodge, or après-ski with friends, Last Run delivers the feeling of snow, speed, and friendly competition in a fast, portable dice game that keeps the spirit of the mountain alive all year.
Development
The idea for Last Run first took shape in 2020, born from long days on the mountain and nights spent laughing with family after the lifts stopped turning. The search for a game that could bring the day's energy home sparked years of experimentation and design.
Dozens of versions followed, with sketches, prototypes, and 3D prints slowly refining the balance, feel, and flow of the game. Each round of testing brought new laughter, new ideas, and small refinements shaped by the hands-on feedback of the people closest to the project—kids, parents, and friends who played along the way. By 2024, the concept had found its form. Through 2025, every element was perfected, from the artwork developed with illustrator Chip Cole to the dice colors, packaging, and the way the game moved in real hands.
What emerged is a design built for the mountains and made to travel anywhere, a polished game that feels at home in a cabin, a condo, or around the kitchen table. Last Run is the product of commitment, passion, and a love for the mountains shared by everyone who helped bring it to life.
Meet the Designer
Designer Matt Bisenius has spent his life chasing winter. Sponsored since middle school and competing nationally through his teens, he earned a spot on the U.S. Junior National Snowboard Team for the 1997–98 season, representing the United States in halfpipe at premier events including the Junior World Championships in Grindelwald, Switzerland, the U.S. Open, and ISF Nationals. The following year, he landed on the podium at Vegetate on Mt. Hood, one of the era's most iconic snowboard competitions.
After competition, Matt attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where he helped develop and later lead one of the first collegiate snowboard teams in the country, a crew that captured the same mix of grit, creativity, and camaraderie that defined early snowboarding culture.
Today, that same spirit carries forward into his design work and family life. Based in Southern California and calling Mammoth Mountain his home resort, Matt and his family spend their winters skiing and riding together. Last Run was born from that lifestyle, a game created by someone who has lived the mountain from every angle and designed to capture the joy, excitement, and connection that come with one more run.
